About the Course
CPR and first aid are essential skills for everyone, not just scuba divers. As an Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor, you will teach life-saving techniques based on internationally recognized emergency care guidelines. These courses are open to all, and the hands-on approach makes learning easy and enjoyable. By the end of the course, your students will feel confident in their abilities to assist in emergencies.
To enroll, you must be at least 18 years old and have completed Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the last 24 months. While an EFR Instructor certification is required to become a PADI Instructor, you can take or refresh this training as part of your PADI Instructor course.
Getting Started
EFR Instructor eLearning allows you to study at your own pace through nine interactive modules before attending in-person sessions. This flexible approach minimizes classroom time and maximizes hands-on training with your EFR Instructor Trainer.
Visit your local PADI dive shop to gain access to the EFR Instructor eLearning program and pick up an EFR Instructor Start-up Kit. You can also ask about the EFR Instructor Support Pak to help you get started. After completing the online modules, your Instructor Trainer will schedule practical sessions to finish your training.
